A museum day with somewhere to breathe afterwards

My Amsterdam draft has one paid anchor: the Rijksmuseum. After that, Museumplein and a possible Vondelpark walk. I would book the museum slot before arranging the rest, then choose a small part of the collection rather than aiming to see everything. The park is an option, not homework. I want a route I can shorten without feeling I missed the point.
