Continue to Maison Pfister on rue des Marchands. Its painted facade and wooden gallery reward a slower look. This stop is for the exterior, not a promised interior visit. Leave yourself time for a side street, a shop or a coffee before moving on.

Domaine Robert Karcher et Fils is a different wine stop on rue de l’Ours. Ask ahead about tasting availability, format and price; this plan does not include a reserved or free tasting. The estate lists Mon–Sat 08:00–12:00 and 13:30–19:00, Sun 09:00–12:00. If wine is not your thing, swap this for a café. On Sunday, move it to the morning or skip it.

6 · Dinner Without The Checklist

Return towards the canals for Wistub Brenner. Book a table for two and take your time over an Alsatian meal. Evening service is 19:00–22:00; lunch is 12:00–16:00, with the last lunch order at 15:45.
