Schonbrunn's main park paths and views make a worthwhile independent visit. Choose a comfortable walking route and do not assume every gate inside the complex leads to a free area.
What is free
General Palace Park access is free during opening hours.
What is not included
The palace, special gardens, maze, zoo and separately operated attractions have their own ticket conditions.
Before you go
The park is large and some paths climb the hillside. Check its map and gate-closing time before walking far.
